Sarah is eager to bring her 15 years as an occupational therapist to this team of dynamic professionals. Notable as one of a few occupational therapists to offer care in pelvic health, she endeavors to provide holistic, compassionate care, in order to improve client comfort and function.
She has over 15 years experience in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation clinics, public school systems, early intervention, and community-based programs. Occupational therapists consider all of the patient’s needs, be it physical, psychological, social, or environmental. This consideration goes a long way when supporting patients, giving them hope, and providing them with the prospect of being able to perform their own tasks without pain or dependence; encouraging wellness and healthy lifestyles.
She is certified in mat Pilates through ASFA, Infant massage through WINC, and an active member of the Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). She feels strongly about wellness and prevention through occupations in order to maintain and promote wellbeing. As a committed life-long learner in her career and a result of personal inspiration stories, she endeavors to provide pelvic health services through Prana Wellness. Her interest in improving women’s postnatal care has expanded into pelvic floor rehabilitation. As an occupational therapist, she believes she has a unique opportunity to bring our whole-person approach to an often overlooked or embarrassing topic.
In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, and camping with her husband, David, and family. Sarah is a homeschooling mother of three girls and a fur-baby lab named Shelby and Great Dane named Marley. She is an avid runner and can be seen running in downtown Frankfort often.
